Islands of the World Fashion Week 2010
Nassau — 11th – 13th November

The third edition of the award-winning Islands of the World Fashion Week will continue the legacy of introducing stunning creations from both established designers and novices in the spectacular setting of The Bahamas.

The runway shows, receptions, and street parties will have you hopping all over the island, mingling with designers featuring their creations.

The catwalk has also been graced with designs by noted international designers, Kenneth Cole, Nick Verreos (Nikolaki), Kevan Hall, Peter Ingwersen (Noir Illuminati II), Leanne Marshall, Henry Jackson, and b michael.

Mexico 2010
Bicentenial of Mexican Independence
Centenial of the Mexican Revolution


In 2010, Mexico will commemorate the bicentennial of its Independence movement (September 1810) and the centennial of its Revolution (1910-1920) with an extensive program of events.

A monument to commemorate the bicentennial will be constructed in Mexico City along the Paseo de la Reforma, the city's main avenue, beside the Torre Mayor. Another project known as Ruta 2010 - Route 2010 will mark several routes along highways throughout Mexico that were traveled either during Mexico's War of Independence or the Mexican Revolution. The routes will be marked with special signs and there will be historical information will be available to visitors.

A Bicentennial Expo Park will have a grand opening on July 10, 2010 in the state of Guanajuato, where a celebratory “world’s fair” will take place from July through November 2010.
